Vertical form fill seal machines
These baggers form the bag from a roll of film, fill it from a multihead weigher or other doser and seal it, in one continuous motion. Choose pillow, gusseted, quad-seal or doypack zipper bags, on single, twin or multi-lane machines, for snacks, granules, powders and frozen food. Multihead weigher and vertical packing systems
A combination weigher above the bagger weighs each portion and drops it into a pillow bag as the bag is formed. The four systems cover 5–100 g up to 10–1,500 g per bag, at 10–70 bags per minute, with 420 mm film and compressed air at 0.5–0.8 MPa.

Back-seal continuous baggers · pillow and gusseted bags
These continuous-motion baggers seal the bag along the back and across the top and bottom. The 2520 models make small bags and the 3620 models large ones; A models make pillow or gusseted bags, P models pillow bags and GB models gusseted bags with a block bottom. All run laminated film on rolls up to 600 mm in diameter and need 6 kW and compressed air at 0.5 MPa or more.

Corner-seal continuous baggers · quad-seal bags
Corner-seal baggers add a seal along each vertical edge, so the bag stands upright on a square block bottom, a format often used for coffee and premium snacks. Models make pillow, gusseted or four-corner-seal bags in small (2520) or large (3620) sizes, and all need 6 kW and air at 0.5 MPa or more.

Twin and multi-lane back-seal baggers
Two or more narrow pillow bags are formed and filled side by side, which multiplies output for small sachets. Each lane takes film up to 300 mm wide.

Doypack baggers with zipper
These intermittent-motion baggers make stand-up doypack bags with a heat-sealed reclosable zipper from roll film, at 10–45 bags per minute.

Vertical bagging: common questions
What is a vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machine?
A VFFS machine pulls film from a roll over a forming tube, seals it into a tube, fills it with product from above and then seals and cuts each bag. It is the usual way to bag snacks, coffee, rice, sugar, frozen vegetables and powders.
Which bag styles can the machines make?
Pillow bags, gusseted bags, block-bottom bags, four-corner-seal (quad-seal) bags and doypack bags with zipper. The style depends on the forming set and sealing jaws, so tell us the bag you want and we will choose the model.
How is the product dosed into the bag?
The systems on this page come with a multihead weigher, which suits snacks, nuts, granules and frozen pieces. For powders or liquids, tell us your product and we will advise on the right dosing unit.
