High-speed blister packaging machines
These machines form PVC or aluminium foil into cavities, feed the product, seal the lidding foil and punch out finished blister cards, at up to 150 blister sheets per minute. They suit tablets, capsules and other small items. They are built by our manufacturing partners and sold, shipped and supported by Lion Packing Systems.
Which blister machine fits your product?
High-speed Alu-PVC / Alu-Alu blister machines
Both machines run 260 mm forming film, with a 250 × 200 mm maximum forming area and cavities up to 12 mm deep. The LP-DPF260 also cold-forms Alu-Alu foil for moisture-sensitive products; the LP-DPH260 is the Alu-PVC (tropical Alu) version. Like all the blister machines here, they need compressed air at 0.6–0.8 MPa and about 0.8 m³/h of cooling water for the moulds.

High-speed blister machines · DPH300
The DPH300 machines take 300 mm forming film and a 290 × 250 mm forming area, for larger cards or more blisters per stroke. Both form Alu-PVC and Alu-Alu blisters; the DPH300A runs Alu-PVC at up to 150 sheets per minute. Where two figures are given, the first is Alu-PVC and the second Alu-Alu.

Flat-plate blister machine and blister-cartoning line
The LP-DPT350 forms PVC on a flat plate, which allows cavities up to 25 mm deep and a 360 × 200 mm forming area. It can be linked to an automatic cartoner to make a complete blister and cartoning line.

Blister packaging: common questions
What is the difference between Alu-PVC and Alu-Alu blisters?
Alu-PVC blisters have clear thermoformed PVC cavities sealed with aluminium foil, so the product is visible. Alu-Alu blisters are cold-formed from aluminium laminate, which gives a full barrier against light and moisture for sensitive tablets; the cavities are shallower and the machine runs slower.
How many blisters can the machines make?
130 to 150 blister sheets per minute for Alu-PVC and 80 to 100 for Alu-Alu, depending on the model. Output in cards per hour depends on how many cards fit in each stroke of your mould.
Can a blister machine be linked to a cartoner?
Yes. The LP-DPT350 is offered as a complete blister and cartoning line, and the YCZ automatic cartoners for blisters on our cartoning page take cards straight from a blister machine.
