Automatic strapping machines
Strapping machines wrap a PP or PET strap around a carton, bundle or pallet, tension it and seal it, at up to 60 straps per minute on automatic arch machines. The range covers arch strappers with standard or low tables, pneumatic models, horizontal and vertical strappers for large loads, corrugated bundle systems and semi-automatic machines. They are built by our manufacturing partners and sold, shipped and supported by Lion Packing Systems.

Automatic strapping machines · MH-101 / 103
Arch strappers for cartons from 80 × 100 mm, with a standard 800 × 600 mm arch that can be made to size and a cycle of 2.5 seconds or less. A models have a 750 mm table and B models a low 450 mm table; the MH-103A has an upright 600 × 800 mm arch. They use 9–15 mm PP strap. Automatic strapping machines · MH-X201 / X202
The X201 runs on 220 V and the X202 on 380 V; standard models have a 750 mm table and B models a 450 mm one. All take packs from 80 × 60 mm with an 800 × 600 mm arch, 2.5 seconds or less per strap and 9–15 mm PP strap.

Automatic strapping machines · MH-301 / 302
A faster version with a cycle of 2 seconds or less: the 301 runs on 220 V and the 302 on 380 V, with A models at 750 mm table height and B models at 450 mm.

Horizontal and vertical automatic strappers
For pallets and large loads, these strappers have 1.5 m arches, made to size, and a cycle of 15 seconds or less. The MH-105A straps horizontally around the load, the MH-105B vertically, and the MH-105C vertically with a top presser that holds the load down. The MH-105A and MH-105B need air at 0.4–0.6 MPa.

Automatic strapping machines · LP-305 / 312
Fast arch strappers with an 850 mm table and a 650 × 500 mm arch for narrow 5–12 mm PP strap: the LP-305 straps up to 50 times a minute, the LP-309 and LP-312 up to 40 with wider strap, and the pneumatic LP-305P has a 1,250 mm wide arch.

Versions of the LP-305 for packs from 150 mm (B) or 200 mm (R) wide. P models are pneumatic, and the R models have a 1,250 mm wide arch.

Automatic strapping machines · LP-305RPD / 405
The LP-405 series is the fastest here, at up to 60 straps per minute, and the LP-405BL has a low 550 mm table. The LP-305RPD is a pneumatic machine for packs from 400 mm wide at 18 packs per minute.

Automatic strapping systems · LP-405BD / LX-500
The LP-405BD straps up to 60 times a minute. The LX-500 and the double LX-500D square up bundles of corrugated sheets of up to 80 kg before strapping, at 13 and 20 bundles per minute, and the LP-SZ90 is an automatic strapper for 20 packs per minute with 5–9 mm strap.

Semi-automatic strapping machines
The operator passes the strap around the pack and the machine tensions, seals and cuts it in about 3 seconds. The LP-A2F has a 750 mm table, 3–45 kg tension and 5–15 mm PP strap. Specifications for the LP-A2C, LP-A2H and LP-A2L are available on request.

Semi-automatic pallet strapping machines
The LP-T45 and LP-T150 strap pallets with PP strap, and the LP-T150 also with PET strap up to 19 mm and 150 kg tension for heavy loads. The AG02 and AG03 band small stacks with 20–30 mm paper or OPP band and 12 mm OPP band, at 26 cycles per minute.

Strapping: common questions
Automatic or semi-automatic strapping machine?
On a semi-automatic machine the operator passes the strap around the pack, which suits low volumes and varied sizes. An automatic arch strapper feeds the strap through the arch by itself, so the operator only places the carton or the machine runs in line on a conveyor; it suits steady production of cartons and bundles.
Which strap do the machines use?
Most use PP strap: 5–6 mm on the fast LP models, 8–12 mm on the LP-309 and LP-312, and 9–15 mm on the MH models and the semi-automatic strappers. The LP-T150 pallet strapper also takes PET strap up to 19 mm for heavy loads.
Can the arch size be changed?
Yes. The standard arch is 650 × 500 mm or 800 × 600 mm depending on the model, and the arch size and table height can be made to suit your packs.
