Automatic case packers
Case packers pick up groups of products with grippers or suction cups, or let them drop, into open cases ready for the carton sealer. These machines run from 1 to 70 cases per minute, with gantry pick-and-place, industrial robot, drop and spider-robot designs. They are built by our manufacturing partners and sold, shipped and supported by Lion Packing Systems.
Which case packer fits your line?
Pick-and-place and robot case packers
Gantry pick-and-place packers lift product groups with 1 to 12 gripper heads and move them into the case, at 12–55 cases per minute. The robot versions use an industrial robot arm for the same job and include two-lane models for up to 70 cases per minute. All need air at 0.5–0.7 MPa.

The LP-CXF-K-10T packs small boxes into large boxes, and irregular products, at 10 cases per minute, and the LP-CXF-Z-10T uses a spider (delta) robot for 1–10 cases per minute. Specifications for the LP-CXF-J-10T gripper packer are available on request.

Case packing: common questions
Which type of case packer do I need?
Drop packers are the simplest and suit sturdy products that can fall a short distance. Pick-and-place packers lift product groups gently into the case and suit glass, cans and jars. Robot packers are the most flexible when products or patterns change often. Send us your product, case and speed and we will recommend one.
How many cases per minute can they pack?
From 1–10 cases per minute on the spider-robot packer to 55–70 cases per minute on the two-lane robot LP-CX-R-80T. Speed depends on the product, case size and how many products are picked per cycle.
What else does a case packing line need?
Usually a carton erector to form the cases, conveyors to group the products and a carton sealer to close the top. All of them are in this catalogue, so the whole line can come through one contact.
How does Lion support machines built by partner factories?
Lion Packing Systems is the sales agent for these machines. We check the model against your product, pack and speed, manage the order and shipping, and provide installation guidance, training and spare parts in Spanish and English.
