Automatic carton erectors
A carton erector takes a flat corrugated case from the magazine, opens it, folds the bottom flaps and seals them with tape or hot-melt glue, ready for packing. The range goes from a semi-automatic stand that helps one operator to servo-driven erectors that form up to 50 boxes per minute. They are built by our manufacturing partners and sold, shipped and supported by Lion Packing Systems.

Semi-automatic carton erectors
The CF-10T is a pneumatic stand that helps the operator form cases from 200 × 185 × 120 mm up to 600 × 480 × 480 mm, with a working height of 600–880 mm. The CF-20TX and CF-20TN erect and tape cases automatically at 11 and 15 boxes per minute with 48–72 mm tape, and can be fitted with a storage platform. Specifications for the CF-10TX are available on request.
| Model | Sealing | Speed (boxes/min) | Machine size (mm) | Weight (kg) | Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CF-10T | Operator-paced, cases 200–600 × 185–480 × 120–480 mm | — | 1500 × 950 | 80 | Air only, 0.4–0.6 MPa |
| CF-20TX | Tape, 48–72 mm | 11 | 2450 × 1950 × 1500 | 700 | 220 V / 50 Hz, 0.5 kW |
| CF-20TN | Tape, 48–72 mm | 15 | 3050 × 1950 × 1500 | 450 | 220 V / 50 Hz, 0.5 kW |
Carton erectors · tape or hot melt
The CF-30T-F seals the bottom with tape at 28 boxes per minute and the CF-30T-H with hot-melt glue at 25. The CF-40T-F and CF-40T-GS add one or three servo motors for 20–40 boxes per minute, or up to 50 depending on the case. All need air at 0.4–0.6 MPa.
| Model | Sealing | Speed (boxes/min) | Machine size (mm) | Weight (kg) | Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CF-30T-F | Tape | 28 | 2700 × 1560 × 2300 | 1100 | 380 V / 50 Hz, 1.5 kW |
| CF-30T-H | Hot melt | 25 | 2400 × 2600 × 2300 | 1100 | 380 V / 50 Hz, 4.5 kW |
| CF-40T-F | Tape, one servo | 20–40 (up to 50) | 4000 × 1600 × 2200 | 2000 | 380 V / 50 Hz, 2.5 kW |
| CF-40T-GS | Tape, three servos | 20–40 (up to 50) | 3500 × 1500 × 2200 | 2000 | 380 V / 50 Hz, 3.5 kW |
Servo carton erectors
The CF-40T-D erects and tapes cases with four servo motors. The CF-40T-H and CF-40T-TH are dual-use machines with three and two servos. All form 20–50 standard boxes per minute at a 1,000 mm working height and need air at 0.4–0.6 MPa.
| Model | Sealing | Speed (boxes/min) | Machine size (mm) | Weight (kg) | Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CF-40T-D | Tape, four servos | 20–50 | 2831 × 2671 × 1900 | 2000 | 380 V / 50 Hz, 4.5 kW |
| CF-40T-H | Dual-use, three servos | 20–50 | 4800 × 2200 × 2200 | 4000 | 380 V / 50 Hz, 8 kW |
| CF-40T-TH | Dual-use, two servos | 20–50 | 4800 × 2200 × 2200 | 4000 | 380 V / 50 Hz, 7 kW |

Carton erecting: common questions
What does a carton erector do?
It takes flat corrugated cases from a magazine, opens them into shape, folds the bottom flaps and seals them with tape or hot-melt glue. The open case then goes to manual packing or to a case packer, and a carton sealer closes the top.
Tape or hot melt for the bottom seal?
Tape is simple, needs no glue system and suits most cases. Hot-melt glue gives a cleaner look and a strong bond on heavy cases. The CF-30T-H seals with hot melt; the other automatic models use tape.
How fast are the erectors?
Automatic models form 11 to 50 boxes per minute: the CF-20 models 11–15, the CF-30T models 25–28 and the servo CF-40T models 20–50, depending on case size.
